“SPLENDOUR” Is inspired in The National Flower of the United Arab Emirates, which name is “Tribulus” a tiny yellow flower that grows in the desert, which splash of ecstasy, bliss and joy, this flower normally grows in the desert in rough and hot weather. It consists of five round petals. This flower found only in yellow color and its singular color choices correspond to Friendship, Equality and Brotherhood. Mostly people used different parts as medicine.
In “Splendour”, can be seen, in each of the petals, images of our new way of living despite the Covid-19, which unfortunately appeared in March 2020. These images reflect our daily life adapted to our new way of living. People keep on getting married, new babies born, people keep on working some in their work and many other from home, the use of internet and social media became a great way of communication, zoom conference let people keep on working despite the distance. Wearing mask and keep social distance is compulsory but lets us move from one place to the other, so all these aspects, let us know and show that everybody can be adapted to the new circumstances, the sooner we do the better for the human beings.
In the “Splendour mosaic”, can easily be seen the coexistence of human being, it does not matter the religion or the color of the skin. We are only one based on the values of Tribulus, Friendship, Equality and Brotherhood.
“WHIRLING DERVISHES” In Islam refers to members of a Sufi fraternity, or more narrowly to a religious mendicant, who chose or accepted material poverty. Their focus is on the Universal values of love and service, deserting the illusions of ego to reach God. In most Sufi orders a dervishes is known to practice through physical exertions or religious practices to attain the ecstatic trance to reach God. The main reason they beg is to learn humility, but dervishes are prohibited to beg for their own good. They have to give the collected money to other poor people.
It is a physical active meditation aim to reach the source of all perfection or karma. This is sought through abandoning one ego or personal desires by listening to the music, focusing on God, and spinning one’s body in respective circles, which has been seen as a symbolic imitation of planets in the Solar System, orbiting the sun.
